Time for a little introduction!

My name is Joyce de Vos, and I’ve been active in the horse world for many years as a horse trainer, specializing in equine behavior, groundwork, and liberty training, all based on positive reinforcement.

For over 15 years, I passionately ran the webshop Horse Charms. In 2023, the shop was taken over, and I continued working there until October last year. Sadly, the webshop was eventually put up for sale. But I realized I still had so much creativity left to share!

On April 9th, I officially returned to my work as a horse trainer, and soon after, the idea of starting a new webshop began to take shape – small-scale, creative, and fully managed by me. Just doing my own thing again, in my own way!

✨ And that’s how MUSHABU – Horse & Minerals was born.

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve also been working at a large company that specializes in gemstones and minerals – and that’s when the lightbulb went on:
horses + gemstones = magic!
A perfect way to blend my two passions.

So, where does the name MUSHABU come from?
It’s actually quite simple: I wanted a unique, creative name that didn’t already exist. Our American Paint Horse gelding is named Mushu, and our cat is Abu – both loyal sidekicks from the Disney films Mulan and Aladdin.
MUSHABU instantly felt just right!

I can’t wait to take you along on this new, creative adventure!
